If you’re looking to set your perfect eco-holiday, I’ve got you covered. I’m going to be running a table series covering everything from eco-friendly dishes to cloth napkins, to flowers. Starting with…
The table.
Of course you’ll need a table to dress up. Being that I happen to be heavily addicted to ogling eco-furnishings I see an untold amount of tables. I have lots of favorites. I picked a nice variety to share here. Hopefully you’ll find something to love.
The Lapis: A table I’ve always loved; well, not since birth, so always is inaccurate. However, I have loved it for a good long while. It’s lovely and light, modern and fresh, and simply glows. This piece is finished with an organic milk paint finish. Comes in various colors, but I’m sticking with linen, my fave.

Original Scrapile Table: This is one of my new favorite companies - Scrapile. Scrapile pieces are “Made from discarded scraps of wood from New York’s woodworking industry that would otherwise go to waste, plus non-toxic glues and adhesives.” Best of all - no two are alike - a unique and lovely eco-choice.

The Bamboo Hollow Dining Set: Good if you need a larger table. Simple, nice lines, and crafted from Amber & Blonde Bamboo. There’s a hollow space below the table surface at each end which creates small storage pockets (that’s different). I’m wondering if kids would hide their peas and crayons in there?

Vermont Woods Studios is another fave company of mine. They make the most wonderful reclaimed recycled barnwood pieces. Their Rustic Barnwood Dining Table is hearty and classic. Perfect for a natural or country themed home.
Perks:
- Crafted with recycled barn wood
- Custom built - so each table has its own unique characteristics
- Available in FSC-certified wood

AND if you need a few chairs…
The Isometric Chair - I’m so obsessed with these. I think everyone is sick of me talking about them. But look at them! Beautiful, 100% non-toxic and sustainable materials, and the sleekest of sleek lines.Total chair bliss. Sigh.

Coming up we’ll look at what goes on top of an eco-hoilday table.
