Last Minute Eco-Friendly Christmas Centerpiece

It’s getting down to the holiday wire. Here in Oregon, most of us have lost power at some point over the last week, and almost everyone is stuck at home due to snow and ice. If you’re in this same situation, you can still whip up a nice Christmas centerpiece for your holiday table or mantle.

Here are some ideas for quick, eco-friendly, and beautiful Christmas centerpieces…

If you start today, you can have some beautiful Homemade Recycled Holiday Luminaries ready for Christmas, like the ones shown above – you’ll need some can freeze time, hence the start today goal. These are easy to make and look great.

Christmas Evergreen Centerpiece – Now, this centerpiece used carnations and roses. However, if you can’t get to the store, you can use fresh pine cones and evergreens from outside, then add some embellishments. If you have silk flowers around, use those. If you’re lucky enough to have red berries somewhere near your house, you can thread wire through them and place them in with your greens. If you’re really low on everything, fresh cranberries, your kid’s glitter, or little stars made of recycled foil will snazzy up the greens.

Flower & Spice Table Toppers – these look like you bought them at a fancy shop, but really use minimal, natural supplies. Perfect for your holiday table. You can also sprinkle your topper with a little clove and cinnamon essential oils (or peppermint and vanilla) to give it a more fragrant holiday scent.

Make a couple of homemade recycled snow globes for a fun, kid friendly table.

If you’ve got some extra marbles, recycled small glass jars, and glue, you can make a Marbled Votive Holder. You can make a big one, and use large candles for the center of the table, or make some small ones to place by individual setting. Use small tea lights with these.
